my chocolate cake

Mi chocotorta - Tablyer delantales

A little piece of childhood, that is what is most enjoyed when eating such iconic dishes, this dessert is very famous in Argentina and at least the children of my time surely ate it. For those who have not tried it, of course I recommend it.

In this case we adapt that dessert to a version for adults.

I like to add orange because it gives an incredible touch to the chocolate cake. It's still a super easy dessert to make.

Microwave Chocolate Sponge

  • 135g egg whites
  • 90 g egg yolks
  • 90g of sugar
  • 40 g of common flour
  • 40g cocoa
  • 1/2 squeezed orange

for the cream

  • 50g of dulce de leche
  • 50g cream cheese

  • shelled pistachio

First of all we are going to mix all the ingredients of the cake and with the mixer we mix so that it is very fine. It gets into the siphon with a load. To prepare the sponge, put a third of the mixture in a plastic cup and cook in the microwave for about 45 seconds at maximum power.

On the other hand we mix the cream cheese and dulce de leche.

Finally we are going to make a Cointreau syrup, for them we put 50ml of water and 50g of sugar, when it starts to boil add 30ml of Cointreau and remove it in less than 1 min.

Peel the pistachio and chop it to use as a topping.

Below you have the video of the plate assembly. Enjoy it!
